Do any of you know an online store who sells both?

I have been looking around and the cheapest Marvel Mystery oil for 1 gallon is 14.99 and the BG 44k runs for 16.00 per can. They are available from separate store though......

Marvel Mystery Oil (MMO) + Xylene + normal gasoline = Race gas (determined by concentration).



Cheapest I've found it was $11.99 a gallon at Napa. When you factor in shipping, it really isnt worth buying online.

 

Hmm....here in WI Autozone and Advance Auto Parts never carry MMO. Perhaps I should check the nearest NAPA store.

You can get MMO at wal-mart in different size bottles

 

They carry MMO for about 4.50 tax included for a quart of MMO. A gallon goes for US$ 15 plus tax.

They don't carry BG 44K though...so I guess I have to order them online again (US$ 16 per can).

I put in MMO (the smaller bottle for the gas tank that treates up to 20 gallons - was $2 at the store) and my car is using up more gas. This weekend I'll find out what MPG I get. I usually get 16-18 MPG, but I think I'll be getting a 14 or 15 this time

I am having the same experience. I put in a quart of MMO to my engine oil and gas to eliminate knocking problems in my car (after cleaning the TB).

...the good news is, after two consecutive BG treatment, one oil change (due to Auto Rx interval) and one quart of MMO, the knocking is gone. I guess the BG and MMO really cleaned up the combustion chamber really good.

About two hours back, I put in a small amount of MMO into my gas tank and noticed my mpg drops from about 28-30 mpg to around 25-27. So, yes, MMO seems to make our cars burn a little more gas (the same thing for BG44K as well).

 

I don't see what MMO does in the gas; in fact, in an older Nissan I had one time (88 Pulsar NX SE, CA18DE) it made the engine ping like a motherf!@#$%...
Now, in the oil on the other hand... it's far more useful... (used to have my mom's old 88 Tempo running pretty well)

Perhaps it's just me....but I could feel that the engine is smoother during cold warm-up (Castrol GTX 5w30) when I pour a small amount of MMO in it.

I was wondering if there is an oil analysis of the MMO......curious what's inside it. I was told from the store that farmers and aviation industry uses a lot of these to mix it with the gas, especially for engines that prefers to have a little bit of lead in them. I don't know whether it's true or not though....

BTW, I just found out that Walmart at Beloit, WI sells MMO for about $3 for a quart...... much cheaper than Napa, at $4.5 per quart.

 

Yeah, MMO is good stuff in the oil, at least on cars that need it (like I said, my mom's old Tempo worked GREAT with it... I did use it in the gas as well, didn't really notice a difference)... the engine became much quieter, and after a couple months driving without it, then putting some in, I could notice the difference yet again... though IMHO the "right" solution for modern cars is to just run synthetic in them from the start

 

I agree. I am usually running Amsoil 0w30 with no additional additive. I am just running the Gtx due to Auto Rx procedures (dyno oil during clean up).
