if it is comming from the front of the engine on the trans side then it is probably comming from a bracket under the o2 valve. i had that, tightened it up, all good now

I'm thinking broken Exhaust stud.

on a side note: I had 'smoke' coming out from under my hood today aswell. Lots and lots of rain + no splash gaurds. I should probably find the bolts to install those splash gaurds

Splash guards bad... leave them off makes for less weight!!

its not really on the trans side. its coming from right next to the oil dip stick. also, if its exhaust studs would it be smoking all the time or just after i start the engine. cause the smoke never stops. i'll try looking for a bolt to tighten tommorrow morning

Is your valve cover gasket leaking? Oil leaking onto the exhaust manifold will smoke as soon as the exhaust manifolds get hot.

Take a phillips screwdriver and tighten down the screws to the valve covers. Actually Im not sure how the VE valve cover is attached but I bet the screws or bolts are loose or you have a leak in the gasket. That's what was wrong with my VG.
