i was just wondering if anyone could help me, i need to get the passenger airbag out of the car. i pulled off the 2 screws on the sides and the six security bolts but still cannot remove it from the car.

why do you need to remove it is the question? Also...you have to take the dash off and there are some screws/bolts behid it that hold it down still. Where did you find the tool for the security bolts? I'm looking for one myself.

a fellow org member wants to buy my airbags for there car. i found the security bits at schucks for like $12 for a set of 10. and thanks i need to take the dash off for somebody else anyway thanks.

If you're that much into taking things out of your car then get a Hayne's manual.

I was reading over the airbag stuff a week ago.

 

removing the dash is really easy...make sure you have removed the radio/ac control area. Make sure you remove the two vents near the windshield (there are two screws there) There are also screws at the corners near the doors (bottom) but like MrEous said...just get one of those manuals and it will save you tons of time!

cool thanks for the directions, i have a fsm and also a haynes manual and both were unclear on the steps to take out the passenger airbag.

 

DO NOT remove the dash.. What the hell are you fools telling this poor guy...
After you remove the "tamper proof bolts" you still have 4 10mm bolts to go.. You need to lay on the passanger side floor and look up.. you can see up the side of the bag from the bottom.. well on both sides there are 10mm bolts.. You will need a short 10mm wrench to get them. There is one to the front and one to the back.. Be careful.. lots of sharp metal jack up there.....

 

dont kill your self over the bags man, lol. i can wait a bit more, no prob
