[Hello everybody!
I have only 27K on my 2003 SE and I just notised that I need new tires. Do you think it is normal to have worn tires at 27K?

With bridgestone, that's average. There really isn't a normal or non normal. I would think that you can squeeze at least 35k in those tires. Is it worn out completely? Try getting michelins. I used to have michelin MXV4 plus, something like that on my accord, it lasted 55,000+ miles until i traded that car in.

 

OEM never good enogh. I am researching different brends like Kuhmo, Continantal, Falkone. Or should I stick with brand names?

I only have about 17k on my OEM's, and they are showing obvious signs of wear....and I don't think I drive that hard. I'm a little concerned with Colorado winter approaching. I talked to a guy at a Discount Tire and he was recommending a model of Yokohama (I don't remember which one). However, this was not an exact replacement. I think it was a 225x55. Please keep them posts coming, as I'd like to here what works good for all around. I'm afraid to go the Pilot Sport route, since I've been told they won't last as long as the OEM's. I'd hate to be spending 800-1000 every year or so! I heard BFG has a new "do everything" type tire. Anyone heard anything about that? Or Michelin has a new one (I can't remember the name...something like Hydro???).

tirerack.com does not even carry them.

 

I've heard of them, but don't know too much about them. I'm curious about those as well.
