17" questions

I am looking at getting the following rims, wrapped in Hankook tires.
http://www.wheelmax.com/Wheels/ADR/skye7.gif

The rim size is are 5 x 114.3 with a 40 offset 17 x 7.5.
The tires the package comes with are 215/45/17 Hankook Ventus HRII.

I know the rims will fit,but will that size of tire look good. I don't think it will give me too much more air space above the tire. My car is not lowered, but I may in the future.

Also, does anyone know anything about the tire. I have read a few reviews which says they are a great tire for the price.

Cheers,
Matthew

You can go with 235/45/17 or 225/45/17 or 225/50/17 those are ther recommended tire sizes for your wheels. I heard about the tires being good and all but I will stick to getting Falkien Ziex-512's. They maybe a little more expensive but they're worth it. My sister has some on her Integra and it handles freaking awesome.

nice wheels, but definately go for the 225/45 tires, the extra grip is worth it. And id also recommend the falken ziex, although the hankook isnt that bad.

Man! Those wheels are off the chains!! I'm sooo not into 5 spoke wheels! But like Logan said, I'd go with a slightly wider tire. I'm running 225/45 tires on my summer wheels and I benifit from the extra grip. I'm sure you can even go as wide as 235 without worrying about rubbing.

I wouldn't risk going up to a 235/45. To fit that you'd need +35 to +30. Just a tiny bit too much. It might work, but if it doesn't.....

The tire is a bit too small of a diameter. Without checking properly I think you should probably go with a 215/50 (if available) or 225/45 as a guess.
