I was thinking maybe 1.4 in the front 1.3 in back.....Think it should go lower? i dont really want a bumpy ride i figured 1.4 and 1.3 would be good.... but does anyone recomend some nice CHEAP lowering springs for this? i had some in mind but i want a lil more input from the outside world of Maximists... hehe!

Honestly 1.4 and 1.3 isn't much at all, you'll want the car lower, I'd put money on the fact. I'd say whatever spring you choose, get tokico Illuminas for the best ride quality. I'm on Intrax springs right now and IMO the ride isn't too bad. If you were to go with them, I would just reccomend that you cut half a coil off the front springs before installing them, as the back sits a bit lower than the front, even with my spare and system removed.

I have H&R spring with KYB AGX and the gap on the maxima is not really what I expected. I expected a smaller gap. 1.4 inches is not really too much of a drop because the maxima has a really big gap between the wheel and the wheelwell. If you want to see before and after pictures of what a drop might look on your car with H&R spring, come and see.

I hear this all the time. "I want cheap lowering springs." A common newbie question, but 99% of them don't realize that you really can't lower a max on the stock shocks and still have a decent ride, especially on 18's. So, a cheap set of springs is Maxspeed and they happen to lower about 1.5/1.7. I have them and they handle great. But I also have KYB AGX adjustable shocks which cost more than 3 times the cost of the springs. Tokico Illuminas would be a little better and cost a little more than that. Just realize going in that you can't drop $100 on springs and expect anything but pain.
Anyway, /rant, here's my car on 235/40/18's on 1.5/1.7 Maxspeed springs.

TEIN S.Techs are the way to go along with KYB AGX's. Intrax come next in line, though they do tend to sag in the rear after a few months. I don't recommend cutting coils from springs because its ghetto and it dangerous to drive on. Cutting a coil throws off the whole balance in a progressive spring. Anyway, H&R's and Eibach as well as Maxspeed and Progress springs barely drop the car and are still close to stock-looking. Coilovers are also good choice if the funds allow it.
well there are these new springs by springtech and they supposedly drop ur car about 2". They only cost about 100 bux. No one knows anything about them yet. Y don't u (zerox) be the first to tell us how they are. heheh http://www.suspensionmax.com/SPRINGTECH_COILS.htm
