Swapping SOHC to DOHC? 93 GXE

Need some help w/ swapping engines. OG 93GXE has 215K and want to put the engine from a SE.
Questions:
Is this still possible?
Where and who to get engine from?
Will there be major modifications?
Any connects up in Nor CA, Bay Area?

Thanks,

Let me save you some trouble and abuse. It IS POSSIBLE, but would be too involved for what its worth. You will need the entire wiring harness from the SE as well as the ECU, and everything else that might be different. You're better off buying an SE and selling your GXE

Mahalo for the quick reply. Looks like it would be much easier to swap w/ same engine. Any suggestions Brah?

www.car-part.com has a nationwide search.

And yes, stick with the same engine.

If you want to do a conversion you're better off getting a VQ35.

VG30ET would offer less mounting hassles than anyother engine and you can use your existing ECU + wire harness. Plus the fact that the engine will make over 400whp with bigger turbo, injectors and tuning make it the best option.

I got my motor from the same place as N34JZ, Motorworks on Long Island. They have low mileage engines with warranties. Mine had only 24,000k on it, and two months later it still pulls like new.
