i went to a local don olson today and they said they would charge $575 just to put on the 4 sprint springs i have being sent to me in the mail!!!!! this cant be right. im not sure where else to go it seems most places dont do "installs" only if you bought the product from them......any suggestions?

this also included alignment etc.. but it still seems very expensive

you need to fight somebody

you should have punched whoever gave you that bogus *** price right in the mouth....I'm down here in Port saint lucie and an import garage quoted me $200 for spring and strut installation and I'm starting to think that's kind of high and I'm still shopping around... you can use that as a reference if you want.

Time to get the C4 and blow some **** up!!!!

thats ridiculous thats like when this one shop tried to get me for $300+ just to put on and paint my Stillen front lip, JUST THE FRONT LIP!!!! anyways like Prime said should run you about $200 maybe $300(I was quoted that for spring and shock install) I was looking at the repair manual last night and the spring replacement procedure looks very straight forward, but I'm not really sure if I wanna do it myself when I get mine this summer, but I might give it a try!

As I recall from Orlando there are plenty of rice shops around there, and plenty of riced cars to go with them. Go to one of those shops and ask if they'll do it or if they have a place they recommend. It'll probably be a bit more reasonable than that quote... that's just crazy.

install should only be like 45-50 bucks per corner so figure 180 - 200...

don't go to a performance shop, because they'll over-charge you. they know you have enough money to customize your car, so they'll up the price. just go to a random mechanic or go to so commercialized place that just replaces stock stuff o normal cars. i can't think of names but, like if you had a cat-back system you wanted installed, i'd go to midas or a place like that, they have cheap prices and do decent jobs.

Did mines myself this past weekend. Was pretty easy actually. As far as tools like a spring compressor, a local PepBoys will have loaner tools. Look into it, its pretty easy.
