Dash noise...

Recently, my car's dash has been making a rattling/creeking noise over almost every little bump, its driving my crazy. Its comming from right above the glove box. If I press firmly on the dash there, it makes the noise. Having the glove box open/closed makes no difference, the noise is still there. I cant tell if something is loose? Anyone know what I should check for? Thanks...

To fix the rear deck on the Bose system my dealer put foam to isolate the vibration. The sub vibrates the deck then the side plastic panels. The foam goes between the deck and side panels, problem kinda solved still does it, just not as bad. Chris

I found the TSB on here ---https://maxima.org/maxfaqs/images/5g/tsb/rattles/ntb99-056f(05).jpg---

I'm preety sure thats the noise im hearing from my dash. My problem has nothing to do with my Bose system. Hopefully I'll be able to take off the glove box and fix it. Maybe this will help u guys out too...but I think its just 2000-2001 maximas.

Do u think its ur new windsheild? I know ...That noise is soo annoying tho!! A car this new should not make any interior noise like that plus i drive all highway(no offroading or anything), little things like that drive me crazy.

I had a 97 Grand Cherokee with 100K miles that did not rattle like this....its a shame, because I do love my max, hope i can reslove this.

Rattles have got to be my biggest complaint about this car. At 13k and 10 months of ownership I have four distinct noises----2 from the dash, 1 from the trunk, and 1 from the A-pillar area.

And the dealer says "that's why it's good to get the last production year of a model, they have most he bugs and rattles worked out." Yeah, whatever.......(and NO they WON'T fix em!!!!)

It's amazing what Focal's and a big amp will fix. ;-)

Depends on the dealer....(or so Nissan says...)

NNA told me to go to a different one next time I needed service cause I raised hell over the last visit.

Nissan dealerships suck! Most of them are overcrowded or the services just sucks. Plus they overcharge for everything.
