Installing a remote start and alarm into a '95 Maxima

Hey everyone.....great board. This is my first post. Someone directed
me here, saying that I should be able to find a lot of help. So far I've
found quite a bit, just searching around and stuff.

Anyway, my friend has a '95 Maxima, and I was going to install a
Crimestopper 2011RS-III alarm/remote start combo in her car. I've
installed a handful before, but never in a Maxima. I don't think she has
a chip in the key, so I don't have to worry about bypasses or anything.

I'm just curious that if I tap into the correct door lock/unlock wires, will
the new alarm always arm and disarm the factory one? I know I
have to find the factory disarm wire for when I remote start it, so it's
just a matter of me finding that wire. :-)

I guess my biggest question is that she also has the window feature
with her factory remote. One click is driver's unlock, two clicks is unlock
all doors, and 3 clicks and hold are the windows. If I tap into the door
lock/unlock wires, will the new remote also control the windows in that
manner? I don't see why not since it's the same amount of pulses.

ANY help would be great (especially since I'm new to this car). So any
wiring diagrams, or procedures for removing panels....stuff like that.

THANKS!!!!!

The Maxima is a fairly simple car to do. The proper doorlock wires are found inside the driver door at the switch. Window operation will Not work with an aftermarket alarm without additional parts. Although if she wants to carry her factory remote as well as the aftermarket one with her, then the windows will still be functional. There is no need for a disarm wire, Nissan keyless arms with lock and disarms with unlock. Aftermarket will control that. Any other help, feel free to post or email me...

Cool, thanks for the reply, Don.....I appreciate it.

I have to go into the door to get the lock/unlock wires? That sucks....I hate having to take the door panel off. They're not in the car anywhere? Well, all the diagrams I found on the net say driver's switch. Oh well. Any tips on getting the door panel off? :-)

As for the windows, when you say they won't work without extra parts, do you mean like a complete window module, like the 530t?.....or do you just mean like extra relays and stuff. Someone else said that if you keep hitting the aftermarket remote unlock (just like the factory one) it should still do the windows. Oh well again. :-)

As for the disarm wire, I meant for the remote starter. Don't I have to disarm the factory alarm before I remote start?....otherwise that alarm will go off?

Yes you need to go into the doors. Very simple to do though. 2 screws on the bottom one inside the little "holder" and pop of the door handle trim. Removing the courtesy light will be easier to do prior to pulling the door too.

Yes a 530T would be needed.

Nope no need to disarm anything for remote start. Ive done a minimum of 65+ maxs for Org members and never had a problem.

Awesome, thanks again Don.

So 2 screws inside the cupholder, and the rest of the panel "pops" out?

I'm a little confused as to why the factory alarm wouldn't go off if the
car was remotely started. Unless it's not that fancy, and doesn't know
any better?

Any hints on getting the tach wire? It's at the ECM I guess....any hints
on getting to that?

Oh, and the diagram I have says there are 2 starter wires, and they
both need to be connected. The combo that I'm installing only has 1
starter output, though.
Here's the instal manual Crimestopper 2011 RS-III
Any hints on doing that? Do I need a relay to activate the other starter wire?

Ok, sorry to bombard you here, but I appreciate it!

Cool, thanks. I probably won't be doing it for a week or two....I'm just doing the prep-work. This isn't my full time job.....so I try to get as much prep-work done before I actually start, hopefully to get rid of as many blocks as possible before I begin.
