This morning I was driving along when all of a sudden my car losses all battery power while driving. I got a jump and it would not charge and almost lost power again but after a 70-80 mph a bit it was at normal charge. When I got home and just parked with the car running the battery charge level started to drop again! o yeah when doing 25+ after getting jumped I hard a winding up kind of noise. last week I had to get jumped because I left my interior light on (damm that auto-dimm). Should I just get a new battery or get the alternator checked!
Thanks Jon

sounds like the alternator. When my alt went out i had to get jumped, and keep the car revved like a raped ape. Else it would try to die, like at a stop light.

Check your belt, see if it's loose. Then if you can get a tester and test it.

I would say it's the alternator. My battery started getting weak recently and finally died. Once my car was started everything was fine. It was just hard to get the engine to turn over. Try unhooking your battery once the car is started to see if your alternator is working.

its your alternator. I had the same problem with my truck. I had to keep the engine revved way high ( like a raped ape? hahahahahhaa) to charge the battery and as soon as the car started idling there went the charge.
