i wanna add the oem fog lights to my gle maxima and put them in the space where they are supposed to go, do i just buy the lights, how would i be able to turn them on, i wanna save some money buying the fog lights online and not from a dealer, so does any1 know if i can buy the lights online and the dealer installs the rest like the switch to turn them on or something

 

If you buy a foglight kit from a dealer (like one of the ones that gives ORG discounts), it comes with the turn signal stalk w/ foglight controls. If you buy aftermarket ones you will need to buy the stalk separately to use stock wiring/switch.
That is what I had originally, aftermarket foglights w/ stock wiring/switch. Looks better if you get the stock set IMO..

You can just wire them up to your parking light + and - wires..........

This way your fogs come on every time you parking lights come on. Short and sweet simple install. just buy some good 16gauge wire and some tap-ins.

Although having the foglight install kit does give you that extra edge of being able to turn off/on your fogs. Very handy if you are following someone at night and they spy you. Just turn off the fogs and it is like you are in another car........not that i have done this.

if your going to use your parking light wiring to turn the light on that would be ok....just make sure you use a relay to power the fog lights .... you can use the + parking light wire to switch the relay on..... do not try to power the fog lights with the + and - wiring from your parking lights....you will blow fuses and or melt the wiring harness....later
