another Bose Issue

I am also having an issue with my bose. I have a sony aftermarket deck, and one of those adapter things that is supposed to make the speakers work with a non-bose system, and it BLOWS. my system is quite as hell, only 2 speakers work, and they are VERY distorted. anyone give any insite on this? im not looking for a killer system and i dont wanna put a ****load of money into the stereo. I liked the sound of the bose speakers with the aftermarket deck that was in it before, but after i put mine in, i get terrible sound. Any help would be great, i gotta figure this out its driving me nuts!

Thanks

Doug

how can you like the sound of those paper woofers and cones. i guarantee, you get get new speekers for under $100. all you have to do is strip a few wires and bypass some of that aftermarket bose intg harness and they will be loud and clear. I too had the same dilemma.

Do you have a Pripheral Bose adapter?

It sounds like you wired it wrong. You need to wire the positive to your positive speaker wire, then both the lead and the ground go to your speaker negative wire. Do this for all four speakers. Make sure your adapter has a good ground, too. I just recently sold my adapter. If you look on the last page of my cardomain (hit the www below my sig) there are still pics of it and how the wiring was. I had mine installed at Magnolia Hi-Fi and it sounded great until the Bose amps finally gave out one by one.
