Bubble on my tire
Bubble on my tire
I've had this bubble on my tire for about 6-7 months now.
I got it a while back when I drove through a crater of a pot hole.
My front right rim was destroyed but the tire was still okay.
The back right rim was slightly bent...but the tire developed a bubble on the side wall.
I was advise by a shop to replace the tire right away but I didnt have the funds at the time.
Now that I have a little $$ I'm wondering how important it is for me to change it considering I've had it for nearly 7 months with no problems.
Is there a chance that the "bubble will burst" so to speak?

Just one man's opinion but..."I say let common sense prevail and replace the tire." I wouldn't risk driving on treads where the structure is compromised let alone a tire that is showing physical deformities. Spending a few bucks on the only thing between your a$$ and the pavement at speed is a no brainer.
Holy smokes....
7 months of gambling with your well-being. If the tire is so badly damaged that it's got a noticable bubble in it, you never know if you're one emergency maneuver away from a car wreck. IIRC, bubbles happen when when you smack something hard and the wheel rim cuts some of the internal cords and belts from the inside. Sometimes it doesn't even look that bad on the inside if you dismount it and take a look.
