Changing fuel filter

How exactly do I remove the oil fuel filter from the car? I removed it from the clips that hold it in place, but I'm having a hard time disconnecting the lower hose. I can't really get a screwdriver under there. I don't want to pull on it at all to risk damaging the hose. I tried to see if it could be done from under the car but there doesn't seem to be much room to maneuver... The top hose I can get off, but the rest is a mystery to me.

you just have to keep messing with it, try twisting the fuel filter back and forth...i took a flat head screw driver and gently pryed the bottom tube off, ive got small hands so i could get in there...good luck!

But don't I have to take the bolt/ring off first?

ok there should be only 2 hoses with clamps that screw on. just loosen those and re-tighten them on another part of the hose so you do not lose them when you get them off the fuel filter. just start on one end and twist it back and forth until it comes off. a lot of fuel does not come out so do not worry but do get something to catch any runoff. you will not damage anything because the hoses are pretty durable and you do not need the old fuel filter anyways. good luck.

If the air filter box is removed ( I think only 3 bolts need to be removed) and the air bellow and the MAF both tossed out of the way you have more room to work around the gas filter.

Fuel filter has two clamps. Loosen them up. Use all the strength god has given you twist the hoses and the filter side to side and pull. Same thing with the bottom part. Thats all I do.
