Strange engine/transmission problem!
Strange engine/transmission problem!
So today I'm pulling out of the dorm parking lot at school, and when I start the car and stick it into reverse it starts to shake really bad. It also did it when it was at low rpms in Drive (auto tranny), so Im goin down the road while its shaking and when I accelerate and get to about 2500 rpms the SES light begins to blink for about 30 seconds or so, then stops. I pull up to a redlight and the car starts to shake again, same thing on acceleration with the SES light, blinks for about 30 seconds, so I see an AutoZone up ahead and I pull in to get codes pulled, I go inside and get the guy to come out and when he tries to pull codes we get nothing. So I start the car and drive it a little bit and it runs like it's brand new, no shaking or SES light.. just perfect...... what could this be? bad gas (shell premium is in there now)? transmission problem? something in the engine? Thanks in advance for the help

When I was driving my mom's Civic before I got the Max, the car would shake while stopped or driving slowly and it had loss of power. Took it to my mechanic and he drove it around the block and told me that it needed a full tuneup. We let him do it and it runs fine now
The car had like 50k miles on it when it happened, but it's a 95 so it was running on factory stuff for 7 years. The previous owner didn't do much maintainance.
Since you need a tuneup anyways, just do it and it'll probably solve your problem. Use NGK copper plugs since they're cheaper
