How do you check fuel injectors?

My Maxima is messing up real bad. The other day i went to start it and it would not start. I tapped on the gas just a little bit and it finally started, but it was running like ****, shaking really bad and my whole car was rattling. While it was running, I put it in reverse to back out of my driveway, i wanted to take it around the block to see if it would stay running. When i stepped on the gas the rpm's when from 1500- 4000 but nothing happened it didnt even budge. I gave it a little bit more gas and i got out of the driveway and down the street but the rpm's did not go past 4 grand. I think it my be my fuel injectors.
Can anyone tell me what they think is wrong? How do I check my fuel injectors? And Is there anythink else i should take a look at?

check your trans fluid.
and it sounds like you have multiple problems.
Once you have the car running one at a time remove and reconnect the spark plug wires noting which one/s don't change the running of the engine.
That will help you locate what you chances are have a non firing cylinder which is probably a bad injector on you NG VG motor.
You can also ohm out your injectors. they should measure between 10-14 ohms per injector with connector disconnected.
