Seems like a particular State Trooper was just pulling over Maximas last night

Yeah, I got pulled over for absolutely nothing last night out in the woods of Massachusetts. I'm cruising down 495 to go to home after a long day at work and hangin out with a couple of co-workers (saw Matrix Revolutions), and after 10 minutes of cruising at 80 mph, my radar is going nuts. So I keep tracking my radar and the bar isn't going up and this went on for about 5 minutes. I'm thinking, "Where is this bastard hiding?" Then I look back and there's no one. I look ahead and I still can't see him (my eyes were tired after watching screens all day).
I slow down and I'm cruising about 70 (495 has a 65 limit). My radar is still going nuts so I figured the trooper was pacing the traffic ahead of me. I pull up some more and he's riding in the slow lane in front of a truck. I'm thinking, "Damn!" I set the cruise to 65 and I pass the trooper (he was going about 60) when I should have kept my **** back when I was picking him up on radar. As I'm cruising along, I'm watching this nut pull right up behind me and then he throws on the lights. I throw on the hazards, pull over, adjust all of the mirrors down (those lights bother the mess out of me because of my laser surgery), shut off the car and get my paperwork out.

Then the trooper is standing in my blind spot with his flashlight out for like 15 seconds so I say, "I don't have any weapons or anything" and I show him my hands. Then he comes up and asks for my license and registration. While giving it to him and I asked him, "What did I do wrong?" He says, "I clocked you at 70 (mind you we're in a 65 zone ) and your Maxima.org plate frames are illegal in MA." I say, "Your kidding?" He goes on to describe how if those frames are on the plates, they can't tell if the plate is commercial or not....... .
I told him I couldn't possibly be doing 70 because my cruise was set to 65. He kept on with his BS story though. Now you guys know that I'm running 15's and the actual mph is slower by 2 or 3 mph.

Anyway he comes back from his car and gives me a warning and didn't even run my plates and just lets me go. So I say thanks to the guy and I'm off. As I'm pulling off, he jumps out behind a white 4th gen and pull a woman over. WTF???

This trooper was nice but he was full of it the whole time.

That didn't sound too pleasant. Should have asked the bish to show you what he clocked on his gun, but that probably would have ****ed the guy off. Oh well you just got a warning so its all good. Also I really need to go see the movie! Heard it was just as good as the first.......

There supposed to be illegal but I don't believe that. I'll check it out for MA. I'm surprised he didn't do a full walk around on my car. I don't have amber reflectors on the front of the car.

I had mine done four years ago and love it. Just make sure you go to an experienced surgeon, not one of the factories that advertise in the Sunday paper. My eyes were REALLY bad - I wore glasses for about 35 years and never had good luck with contacts, and I've never regretted having it done. Plus, I believe they have improved techniques even more since then.

Deezo,

From experience, I can tell you this:

1. I passed a NYS Trooper one time and he was going about 45mph. I was doing 50mhp and I passed him also. Know what? he did the same exact thing. He pulled out and went right up behind me. Pulled me over and gave me the speech of death with 100000 questions on why I passed him. Thank god that a call on his handheld radio was an extreme emergency. He had to leave. Moral of the story: NEVER PASS A TROOPER ON THE ROAD. They will pull your **** over.

2. I had the surgery done also. When I took the NYS Trooper state exam (Ironic huh?), I had 17/15 vision in both eyes. Now, one eye is 20/20 and the other is 25/20. Not bad!

3. The .org plate holder, I have it also. I don't see how it would interfere with anything.

license plate frames are illegal in NY, don't know about anywhere else. Frames and clear covers. Silly but in someway, i can see that.. i've seen some retarded license plate frames that block like 1/4 the number and often you can't read the state at the top.

Sometimes I guess they get bored and just pull someone over for anything.

i usually stick to a simple rule:
never pass a cop on a main road

if you see him up there, just slow down a little, get behind another car, or something...i mean dont make it look abovious, and drop your speed down to 30 haha, but just try and lay back a little. even if you are going the speed limit, sometimes they just think your going to fast, just because your going faster, and you passed them. i dunno, just not worth the risk of getting one to keep going your normal pace, even if you are doing the legal limit.
