Ok as many of you know my car has been in the shop since Tuesday at 8AM. It was for the 30k service, but I was also getting a weird problem, discussed here:

https://maxima.org/forums/showthread...threadid=23984

According to the service manager, the ECU diag produced:

CYL 2 MISFIRE
IGNITION SIGNAL - PRIMARY

They have re-set the ECU and have yet to be able to get the lights (SES, SLIP, TCU OFF) to come BACK ON.

He wants to keep it another (third) day to get to the bottom of it, and the mechanic has contacted Infiniti Assist to help them get to the bottom of it.

Any ideas or thoughts etc?

Hope to get my baby back soon -- all fixed up and in showroom shape. I MISS MY CARRRRRRRR

Stay cool everyone,

got the car back

Welp I got the car back. After the 30k service it actually seems to run better which is pretty weird, eh? They were not able to get to the root of the service engine light. They knew what the ECU was coding, but they checked every single component in those systems and did not find anything wrong. They could not replicate it, but I give them credit for trying.

So anyway, it seems to be doing great for now...

stay cool,

That's sweet Anthony, glad she is running better. I was going to go out and spring for a I30touring, but I couldn't stomach the insurance costs. I guess I'll save that for later....

BTW, one of the guys here at work just got a 2001 I30, I can't wait to take it for a spin.
