2k2 Fog Rewire Comments and Pics

Being the shameless Newb that I am I figured I would make a thread about my latest mod. This weekend follow the walkthrough I found here on the ORG I did the fog rewire. I must say to all those members that haven't taken the 30 minutes to do this mod: ITS SO WORTH IT! I can't see why Nissan didn't just make the fogs on their own switch to begin with.

i love my foglight rewire too. awesome little mod to perform in only 30 minutes.

i also have my front turn signals/parking lights disabled, except for when i turn on my blinkers, and it makes my car looks like a bimmer

I'm thinking that Nissan did that so you would have to have on the regular headlights when it's dark instead of the fog lights only. They would probably get sued if somebody got injured or killed because they did not have on the proper lights at dusk. Just my speculation.

Because it is illegal to have your fogs on without your headlights.

I do think it looks cool, but not sure if I'll do this mod. do you leave them on all the time? I just leave the headlights on auto, and fogs on with them.

Depends on the state. In NY or CA, everything is illegal. Including fogs without headlights. Also, it's illegal to have fogs on with high beams; that's why they go off when you switch on the highs.
