I spoke to the guys at leatherseats.com and decided to get a group deal going. I know some of you went with the katzkin leather; I personally saw it installed profesionally by a distributor of theirs and wasn't really happy with it...Maybe it was just that one set who knows....anyways I have seen the leatherseats.com leather in the past and know people have had good experiences with them which is why I would like to go with them. Patrick, I didn't know your leather wasn't stock! I did notice the Maxima embroidered on the seats and thought that was kinda cool, didn't know it was a kit though.

How do these compare to the Katzskin leather GD?

 

From what I have seen from past group deals, they are essentially exactly the same as the Katzskin.

 

It's morning but they should get back to me by the end of the day. Personally I saw the katzkin a few times and it's not bad, but on maxima's I don't think the fitment is that great. Yesterday I went to a Nissan meet and the altima's had the katzkin and looked great, a few people I know with maxima's the katzkin doesn't look right and is uneven (and they were professionally installed)...I saw the leatherseats.com even back in the day when andyxxl was aroundin his car and fitment, look and quality was great which I figure we should go with them. I need a price on the two-tone leather.
Also if you could get a price on the heated seated extra, it gets cold in the winter time here.

I went to Katzkin and compared all their swatches to my interior. Then I bought the appropriate colors through Leatherseats.com. They both use the same leather

Install took me around 12hrs, with some help from schuss on the front seats. It was my 1st time, so I worked really slowly and carefully without any instructions. Their install kit sucks, so I advise you don't buy it and get your own tools. I haven't attempted the door panels yet either!

Katzkin charges +35 for non current model year. So at best you are looking at $555

 

+ i think $20 for 2tone .. so $575 this would probably be better..

Sorry guys for not updating the list sooner, I was away on vacation...anyways as it stands it looks like we have 7 people including myself...so if we want the pricing for the 20 people we need to get 13 more...Im sure people have Christmas money now and what not so lets get those order for leather seats comin'!!!

-If worst comes to worst with only 10 people it is only about $30 more expensive so its not THAT bad...I'll let you guys figure out what you want to do, as in getting in on the 10 people or waiting for 20...And I am not sure about them matching katzkin, so I will contact them about that. Like I said the more I look at the katzkin leather in my friends max the more unhappy I am with it, either its the leather itself or simply the shop doing a really poor install...I'll keep you guys updated and any questions etc send me an e-mail or pm me
