I have a 2002 max se 6-sp and I started having this weird flutter upon clutch engagement on moderate to strong acceleration(1st,2nd & 3rd). It's been happening about 1.5 months. I have 20k mileage.

It doesn't make any noise during the fluttering (no howl or dying squirrel noises), but it shakes the car as the clutch is slipping during enagement.

I am not losing traction and it's not wheel hop.

It seems to be most apparent when the clutch is almost fully engaged. Once engaged, no problems.

I get this problem mostly from a standstill and when engaging second from first. (ie. If I am cruising in traffic at about 10-15mph and the traffic begins moving I put it into 2nd gear and add gas and let up on the clutch. This is where it seems to happen frequently.)

Anyone experience this clutch fluttering before?
