would there be any noticeable difference after changing a new knock sensor?

I just changed mine after 87k on my car because I was getting poor gas mileage....so I'm keeping fingers crossed to see if the mileage would improve....is there any other difference that's noticeable? cause I'm not feeling any.

Depends, if it was broken before then yes, a big difference. If it was fine then it should be running the same, sound to me like you old one was fine

hey lude, i just replaced mine yesterday, and didn't notice anything........so i asked around and you've got to reset your ecu or else the engine won't notice the new part for like 30 turns of the key.

you can also recheck your ecu and hopefully you'll get an 05 05 code (no probs detected)

ecu stuff is a sticky.....
