18x8 rim...Suggested Tire size on a 2k2?

what do you guys suggest for a 2k2 if i'm gonna be putting on 18x8's.
what width tire. i'm looking at protecting frm curbing, so i would not mind wide tires, as long as they stayed as close to speeds specs as possible. so, suggestions please. thanx

Try 245/45/18 if you want more comfort and don't mind your speedo.

245/40 for wheel protection.

I prefer 235/40 hands down!

What size would you recommend if you don't plan on lowering the car....without having the 4x4 look? As close to factory as possible?

A 245/40/18 is the closest to a SE stock tire diameter as possible.

A 235/40/18 is closer to a 16" outside diameter.

The 4x4 look I feel is there even with a stock wheel/tire combo.
