Which Filter Do You Use On Your CAI?

I was just wondering what filters all you guys are using. I am currently using the Monster Flow filter, but I am going to install the Apexi Power Intake filter tomorrow. I am also going to do 3-4 runs with each filter to see which yields the best gains.

doubt you will feel the difference in power just from a filter. I did notice a difference in sound. K&N is louder than Monsterflow because I think the foam on the monsterflow acts as a muffler that dampens the resonation

i have K&N. but i always considered switching to a JWT or stillen filter because supposely they have better and bigger air-flow velocity than K&N. but probably just 1-2HP difference. i say go for a K&N for now because it is washable. it'll last for a good amount of time.

I already have 2 Apexi Power Intake Filters. I am putting one on today later in the early afternoon. I have a g-tech and will try and get some consistent runs for E.T's and HP/TQ. Just looks like on the monster flow there is no room for any velocity. Apexi filters are very very well built.

All of the filters are washable, all you gotta do is get the recharger kit from K&N and wash it twice a year. Also yeah the Stillen intake is the same ****, and is made by K&N. Although I always wondered how the K&N filter will sound different from the Stillen filter which have a little different shape and form. Did anybody try a little experiment, please let me know.

so is the JWT. All washable.
You'll notice a difference in sound that's about it.

Ok, I did some tests tonight between the Monster Flow Filter and the Apexi Power Intake Filter. I had 1/4 tank, 91 octane. Just installed the Apexi Filter today. I got a new personal best. Previous personal best was as follows.

E.T.-15.497 @ 90.99mph
60 ft - 2.483s
0-60- 7.485
153.7 HP @5324rpm
162.9 TQ @4407rpm

I let the car sit 15 mins between each run.

Monster Flow:
E.T. - 15.686 @90.7mph
60 ft - 2.535s
0-60 - 7.597 RUN 1
156.4 HP @5471rpm
160.7 TQ @4504 rpm

E.T. - 15.642 @89.01mph
60 ft - 2.517s
0-60 - 7.405s RUN 2
153.8 TQ @5337rpm
162.8 Hp @4538 rpm

E.T. - 15.552 @90.88mph
60 ft -2.551s
0-60 - 7.392s RUN 3
156.8 HP @5208 rpm
166.3 TQ @4543 rpm

Apexi Power Intake Filter:
E.T. - 15.641 @91.07 mph
60 ft - 2.521s
0-60 - 7.398s RUN 1
157.6 HP @5334 rpm
172.3 TQ @4604 rpm

E.T. - 15.364 @92.02mph
60 ft - 2.500s
0-60 - 7.209s RUN 2
161.6 HP @5728 rpm
176.1 TQ @4528 rpm

E.T. - 15.346 @91.82mph
60 ft - 2.437s
0-60 - 7.144s RUN 3 PERSONAL BEST
164.7 HP @ 5333rpm
180.4 TQ @4403 rpm

Well Im not sure this proves anything, but th Apexi Filter does sound different and it feels like it pulls a little better down low.

i wanted to get apexi but couldnt find one cheap enough . I have K&N and i have a stillen filter but i dont understand u guys when u say stillen filter as a cold air intake. I'll take it stillen makes more than one type of filter for maxima's that i just dont know about because the one i used for hybrid setup seems way too big to fit in the fender area....or can it?

i wonder if the velocity stacks on the JWT and Stillen make any difference? i have a frankencar with the k&n, and i think it would be better with one.
