Michelin Pilot Sport A/S-really narrow

I bought the above tire in 255/40/18. Have had them on the car for about a month now. Do the Pilot's normally run narrow compared to Yok's or S-03's. These are the same width as my old 245/45/17 S-03's, and a good bit narrower that comparable Yok ES100. Anyone else find the same thing with their Pilot's?

I think it's the S-03's that are wider than most tires. And it could be Mich's are just a little thinner than most tires and therefore, making up the large difference.
