Three warning lights at once...Help!

Went to start my 2000 I30 today and before I even took it our of park the Check Engine, Slip, TCS lights came on and stayed on.

What does it mean if all three come on? Anyone have this on their max or I30? (Autozone is too far away to run down and check the codes)

Only thing I noticed was the car ran alittle rough when it first started for a few seconds, and the tranny seemed to shift alittle rougher than usual. Also, had new tires put on yesterday.

Any ideas?

Thanks

Update:

I unpluged the neg battery cable for one hour and all three warning lights went off. Guess I'll wait and see if they come back.

Still would like some ideas on what could cause all three lights to come on at the same time. Anyone?

That usually indicates a bad Mass Air Flow Sensor.

I thought that since the car ran rough at start up for a few seconds at the same time all three lights came on that maybe one of the coils are going bad.

I guess it could be the MAF, but the car seems fine now and others who had their MAF go report that the car continues to run bad and RPMs won't go over 2500.

The question is, those who had the coils or MAF go, did they get symptoms like I had today for a few weeks before the coil or MAF completely went???

THIS IS NOT A MAF FAILURE..

It would have to be linked to the ABS controller failing, as the TCS ties into this since it uses the ABS controller to get speed readings..

I had to replace the ABS control module on my moms 99 when this happened, and this is not cheap...

I had new tires put on yesterday. Could the installer of the tires somehow damaged something on the abs system?

Funny thing, when my MAF went bad the EXACT same lights came on as what he described. My ABS controller was just fine.

Did your three lights come on in park or were you moving? Did the MAF completely go and have to be replaced when the Dash lights came on or did the problem at first go away as in my case?

While driving. Problem did not go away till a MAF was replaced. Go to Autozone and get your codes pulled.

Thats what I'll do if they come back on. I took the neg battery off for 2 hours and the lights are out. Drove today and nothing unusual. If was odd that the problem happened on starting yesterday while still in park and the car idled rough for ~5seconds. Makes me doubt the MAF because every post I have read states their MAF went while in motion, usually under acceleration. I bet one of my coils is going, or it was some type of fluke on start up. Time will tell!

Thanks for all the input, very appreciated!

I bought my 2k SE back in April. When I test dove the car these light were on also. The dealer I was buying the car from brought the car to a Local Nissan Dealer on they pulled the codes. Turns out the Coils neede to be replaced. All has been fine since 12K later (other than rotors Grr).

One question - the next few starts after the three lights turned on, did the TCS OFF and SLIP go out? On my 2k, the misfire almost always occured at startup and you could hear it immediatley. The TCS OFF, SES and SLIP would illuminate until I had a clean start with no misfire. Then the SES would stay on for a while and eventually go off until the next misfire and the dash was lit up like a christmas tree again.

The problem was with the damn defective ignition coils!! I've never had a reoccurence since changing the plugs and coils.

I never gave it a chance to go off. Yes the problem was at start up and when I got home since the car seemed fine I cleared the codes by disconecting the Neg battery for 1hr. No problems since.

When you first had the problem, how often did it occur??

When it first started, I used to get the problem every 3 weeks to 1 month. Then this Sept-Oct I got fed up when the warning would be on more than it was off - twice a week or so the engine would misfire on startup and very infrequently (only twice) while driving. Thats when I changed the coils and plugs.
