Antenna height (PICTS)

Just wondering does this look about the as your guys antenna height, I'm only asking because I thought I've seen Max's with higher ones and because I get really bad reception with FM stations. So I just want to make sure that there's nothing or something wrong with my antenna. Thanks

My parents' '84 max antenna would raise halfway or full height depending on the sensitivity selected. Can this be done with the Bose system?

That could possibly be why...stepdad has a Sony in his car, and everything has static...sony has a bad reputation around here.

My antenna broke...I just kinda pushed it all the way down...now it doesn't wanna come up anymore and I get crap for radio. I'm too lazy to fix it and it's more aerodynamic when it's down -.-

I've got a Sony CD tuner (not one of the latest models) and I get as good reception as I did with the stock Pioneer tuner, even when the antenna gets stuck half way
