New Custom Shift **** (pics)

Received my new laser-engraved, black, texturized, Team Voodoo shift **** yesterday. Although I wish I had asked for my logo to be a little bigger, but aside from that, it's a great interior touch.

First I saw with this was IanSW ... his looks better in pics because it's silver with black lettering instead of black with silver lettering, but this **** is just as impressive in person. The circumfrence writing cost an extra $15 - to total $65 for a personalized metal (sphere) shift ****. Not too shabby.

Get yours from Joe Portas at www.knobmeister.com. I know it says they're for Miata's, but our Maxima's have the same thread pattern and screw on perfectly.

Click Pics for 640x480 version.

STS: Nope.

What self respecting man could go with standard over Magnum. It's Magnumicent.

Go to my homepage and look at it up top. It's a purposeful effect in direct coorelation to the word. I believe there's a term to describe this effect.
Ex. small and large.

Anyone remember this term from college lit/english?

Eat your spinach, lift some weights and then apply force in a counter-clockwise direction on the **** you have. Mine came right off.

Additionally I don't see the value in using thread lock. My new **** is on there as tight as can be and I don't see it coming off or giving me trouble any time soon ...

Here's mine.....got it 6 months ago.

The Knobmeister is a hella nice guy.

At the time he'd never done a Maxima **** before so I used the font from the Maxima door sills by sending him a picture - he nailed it perfectly.

i do see value in it. all the way tight isnt necessarily where you want the ****. Sometimes that puts the design/logo crooked or off set, so you need to leave it a little loose so it points the right way. but you dont want it loose and spinning around all the time. Use thread lock, and it will not only be in the right place, but stay there. i win

Yeah, and if you put a wooden dowel at the top of the shifter before screwing the shift **** on you will achieve the same effect all the while not having to use a wrench or be "He Man" to get it off.

but that makes your shifter higher...i dont really like that effect. also if you find it so hard to remove, there are 3 grades of thread lock for a reason, use a less strong grade.
