I have been going crazy, no autoparts carries them. Is the dealer the only option?

Buy them from the dealer. aftermarket Y pipe gaskets are crap. (even WSP buys them from the dealer to send with their kits)

Are the gaskets crap that come w/ the B pipe from Budget? If so, I guess I should replace 'em.

Dunno.. never seen a budget product myself, but I was there when WSP tried to use aftermarket ones on their first test-fits.. found out they were crap, but luckily they had some OEM gaskets too.. since the first Y pipe they bolted up at the Dallas dyno day, they've been using OE gaskets.

Not sure how much of a difference it is from the dealer but most of their stuff is quite a bit less.

The ones listed there for the 3rd gen were the crappy paper/substrate gaskets.

the ones from the dealer are quite a bit more $$, but they're several layers of stainless steel w/ ridges to make it form a springy seal.. they won't come apart or blow out like the paper gaskets will.

The 3 gaskets for the VQ are only about $10 total from the dealer. What's the big deal?

The gaskets I got from WSP were the cheap ones, whereas the ones I got from the dealer were $8 each and made of metal. I have one left if you want it, dmontzmax.

I haven't had a problem with the "cardboard" gaskets yet, but when I get a straight pipe, I'm going with OEM again

I like red silicone the best. I hate the cardboard gaskets. I usually go to a friends shop and borrow "wink, wink" the gaskets I need. Its nice having friends with unlimited amounts of shop supplies. Nick
