I demand a complete foglight rewire write-up!

Hehe, just playin' - seriously, I think this forum really needs this to get done, either with pics or without (but very detailed in that case). I have read some instructions, and I think they are incomplete and not newbie-to-electric-shiit friendly. So, anyone wanna put something together? I need my fogs to be on with my parking lights!

the write ups they ahve make it seem alot more difficult then it is

all you have to do is gounder your hood
look for the fuse box on the passenger side of the hood and their should be a blue wire their.....
cut that wire with aobut 4 inches of slack on the side of the relay
the other side u dont need to use so jsut leave it alone
then take a 14 to 16 gauge wire and run that to a red wire with a yellow stripe
(i believe)
"piggy back" or since u say u are an electric newbie "splice" the wire you ran from the blue to the red with yellow stripe wire coming out of the sidemarker

any other questions jsut ask

Passenger side? I thought it was driver side...

By splicing you mean to strip the blue wire and connect the 14-16 gauge wire to it and then to the red wire?

no the blue wire as to be cut and u connect 14 or 16 gauge wire to the blue wire sticking out of the relay and then u splice it into the red wire with yellow stripe coming out of the sidemarker and no the relay box is on the passenger side

Hi guys, I'm doing this mod as well, but I'm stuck after opening the fuse box cover. Look for post #18 in this thread and follow the rest of the thread.

Hey IGOR911, besides the HID's what bulbs are you using for the fog and parking lights? The fog and HID's seem to be a close match.

Thanks, Shawn

ok limsandy there are little clips on the side of the relays in which release that panel to come up that way u can get acces to the bottom of the relays.

these clips are hard to see and u must use something long and skinny in order to release them

2k2whitemaxi,

Is it the orange plastic cover in this picture you're talking about?

I did mine from the "how to" thought it was really good. Only prob where I have helped a lot of people out is to clarify...Blue with silver dots 02-03 and yellow 00-01 and it seems that the only other mistake is to wire to the wrong side of the blue- or -yellow wire.
IMHO just touch up the existing how to.

So where do you get these? Or if you put them together, where can I get the parts? I've been using the extreme whites in the fogs, but they don't last very long, and yes the bulb were clean and oil free when installed. Also are you using a different bulb in the front parking lights?

Thats the dirty long way. You just have to cuzt the fog light wire and tap it into the clearance wire in the fuse box. Cut, then use a tap. No extra wires or anything.
