dummy power steering pressure switch

I'm switching to electric power steering soon, and i was worried about the pressure switch telling the ecu to increase rpm ,so i had to get rid of the ecu making the rpms go up and down. I thought if it did not see flow or enough pressure it would trigger a cel. But i just bought a second one from a junkyard plugged it in and i was happy to see thats all it took . That problem is solved rpm do not move now when the wheel is turned , even at idle in the snow. I dont know why they designed it that way the steering effort is no different, just doing that would save alittle gas and probably help a slight amount on the drag strip but my mechanicals coming off soon and electric going in with a on off switch. Just typed this to pass some info along.
Im going to dyno after i do this , i think its worth 3-5 fwhp. Hey its only going to cost around 100-125.

do you need a whole new rack or is it still a hydrolic set up with an electric pump?
What parts are you using and where from etc?

Very simple ,one you get another pressure switch to fool the ecu. Two get a mr 2 electric hydrolic pump (i dont know which year to get yet im thinking a low 90's model would be better)hook the pressure hose and return hose up ( may have to get custom lines) and last run some power and install a on of switch , thats the way im doing it . Mine will be installed in front of the PS resovoir.
