Auto tran slipping?

My auto is acting funny, when it is in forward gear usaually it goes without touching the gas but when u give it gas it barely moves (like you have a flat tire) and when i put it in reverse it works fine??? Its a 99' Se with only 45,000 miles kind of young to have trans. problems ain't it?? Geez, I've only owned it 2 months now. Not looking good I thought they were reliable, must be just the motor! Is it still under warranty does anybody know?

sounds like it is slipping I believe the car has a 3year/36k mile bumper to bumper warranty and 5year/60k(maybe 50k) drivetrain warranty. I'd take it to a dealership and see what they say. Also, have you checked to make sure your tranny fluid isn't low?

It could be your transmission....but I would bet heavily against it. I 97k on my car and run it hard, and fortunately, my transmission has run nicely. I would check other parts before deciding if it actually is the transmission.
