Lowering Issues

Is the front higher than the back (butt sagging) issue normal on lowered cars?
I would think that it would depend on how much you drop to which part of the car.

I've noticed that most ppls are getting springs with a little more drop in the front like HR's or such... but a lot of these seem to have the butts sagging a little. (Maybe my eyes are off.)

Does the brand have to do anything about it? Like, will the HR's sag more that Teins?

Can someone clarify?

Thanks.

(Will be donating soon... Hopefully, that will allow me to search... Until then...)

B&G's have a bad problem with the rear sagging. I currrently have Maxspeed (similar to H&R's) and it looks even. Many people don't have Tein's yet but someone got it on the org, flashed pics, and everyone loved them. Progress springs was the most popular in the past few months but now many people are getting into Tein's. I wouldn't say it's a common issue, but if you had a system in your trunk then that would maybe cause the issue to arise. I think you should check here ~~~~> http://maxmods.dyndns.org/?MaximaSprings . It gives brief explanations on each brand of springs made out for Maximas.

all other 4th Gen-ers i've talked to say that the back is supposed to sit lower than the front. But i DO have a system in my trunk with my 2" drop so that might be my case, but im still pretty sure the back sits lower than the front.

Yeah from what I've heard don't get Teins because you CV joints will start wearing out and you will have to replace them alot. Teins will lower your car too much and make it hard on your joints

So even if you drop the front lower than the rear (1.5/1.3), your rear will still be sitting lower than the front???

Correct me if I'm wrong but on a stock Maxima, doesn't the rear sit higher than the front?
So even if you dropped 2" from all the corners, shouldn't the rear still be higher???

The math doesn't make sense to me...

Will someone please explain?

If the rear spring rate is too much softer than the front, you may have issues.

The front sits higher stock, that is why most lowering kits for Maximas are set up with different drop rates for the front and back. The set I got was 1.8 front, and 1.5 rear. My car sits perfectly level when I don't have my system, and toolbox in there.

I don't think u should lower the front more then 1.7 because you will wear out your joints

on my previous car, '98 Eclipse GSX, i lowered it with Eibach springs with tokicos.. it's suppose to be a 1.5" drop. They seem to have an even drop on all four springs.

i got sprint springs, supposedly a 2" drop but my front sits lower than my rear... i'm thinking about cutting the rear ones to sit even... i wouldn't need to cut too much so i think it'll be safe.
