1/4 times for I35's?

I checked the forum... I couldnt find anyone that ran their i35 at the track... not sure why they would run a luxury car but Im wondering what they run... since I saw a few 95-99 auto maxima's running 15.2's where car and driver says i35 runs 15.3's??? doesnt really make sense since i35 has way more hp.

thanks

The 95-99 models are quite a bit lighter than 2000+.

From Edmunds.com:

2003 i35

Curb Weight: 3306 lbs.

Horsepower: 255 hp
Torque: 246 ft-lbs.

1999 maxima SE

Curb Weight: 3014 lbs.

Horsepower: 190 hp
Torque: 205 ft-lbs.

300 lbs difference and a 65hp / 41 ft lbs torq difference.....
I think that should cancel out....

You'll run almost the exact same time as me. In full street trim, I usually run 14.9's to 15.2's (that full tank of gas). I ran a best of 14.66...

And the HP/TQ numbers are incorrect for our cars. It's actually 245hp/265tq. Nissan/Infiniti just played a numbers game with Acura that year...

They do basically cancel out, that's why they run the same times. One has more power more weight the other has less power less weight, thus they run close to the same times.

I dont think this is right!!

65hp and 41lbs is A LOT, more like 6 700lbs heavier, than it would be equvalent. Since every 100lbs heavier is only about 10hp loss.

auto for auto here

the 95s-99s were running at best 15.6s, most were 15.8s-16.1s >auto(stock)

the ones your seeing are probably modded and manual

the i35 is only like 100-180lbs heavier than the new 2k2 maxes and altima v6s...

dont trust those mags much

car and driver got 15.4 for the altima v6, and many have gotten mid high 14s, auto

motortrend got like 15flat for the alty, same deal, auto

the i35 might have a less sportier suspension than a 2k2 v6 alty/max and about 100 to 150lbs heavier, thats it...

i bet u can squeeze in a 14.9 or 15flat with the i35

if ur talkin about the i30 auto, than ye, different story.....

The I35 is not more than 30 lb heavier than a Maxima SE/GLE. It's nothing like 100-200 lb. It should be able to run just as well as the Maxima.
