I was interested in the white rims back then... And now I'm liking them again...
Just to be different...

So I ran into a thread I made back then and wanted to see more white rims on the Pearl White Max... Rather this than opening up a new thread...

BTW Sprintmax, is he still on the org? Everyone says he had them but I haven't seen him here in a while...

Anyone else w/ White Rims... Or vintage pics of them???

Thanks

Yea white rims are rare nowadays and it seems to me I'm one of the few sporting them in my area. Alot of rims i see are black with the chrome lip, they look awesome but it seems to me every other modded car has them.

i like white on white a lot, especially when they have been color-matched with a pearl white.

that was taken out at the 360 Bridge here in Austin, TX ... its a very popular spot for taking photos of your car, or just photos of the bridge and the lake and so on

Im feeling inspired... I like the look of white on white even more...

Just like many people said it much more rare than black on black...

black rims on a white car is cool but It would look better with a carbon fiber kit, hood, trunk ect... Or else they look like steelies to me...

my brother has gunmetal colored rims on his '03 white max. looks pretty sick.

and also keep in mind darker colored rims don't look as dirty as fast as white rims do.

I agree, thats why I had my white wheels powder coated black, however they still look ok I guess but they have to have apolisjed lip or they appear to look like steelies like you mentioned.

Yeah, I am gonna have to keep a lot of wheel wipes handy... I heard that you should clean the powder coated wheels like your car paint... no harsh solvents... You wouldn't put rim cleaner spray on your paint, right...

Or, find some white break pads... for white brake dust... j/k lol

I have always washed my wheels like I do my car, and then afterwards apply wax to them. For low brake dust stick with OEM pads, easier on the rotors as well.
In all honesty though, when my wheels were white they didnt seem to get as dirty as they are now in the high gloss black. The high gloss black shows EVERYTHING, dust, waterspots, etc....
