Yes sir today I got a the package pretty late in the mail. Me and my little brother tackled this install pretty quick. Have to get the stock FPR removed in order to lower the Base FP. I did not know that since I have never read that it must be removed. I ordered the fitting Friday or Saturday and bam it got here today. Boy was I happy since my other car broke down I can at least drive my turbo car to work.

Moral of the story, you have to get the stock FPR removed and get this fitting Thomas (SX7R) sells so you can adjust it with any of the after market Fuel pressure regulators.

These are different base fuel pressure regulators

1. SARD FPR---- No longer sold in the US. They have on that is sold here in the US but retails for $270 plus shipping

2. AEM FPR---- Can get this FPR thru SX7R performance and here is the link

http://www.sx7r.com/parts.htm

3. Vortech Super FMU--this you can get from EBAY or Vortech, they retail from $170-$330 shipped. You may need to order a $35 bleeder valve which will make it a cartech and a SARD FPR in one. It has two more adjustments to it but I have not messed with it yet. In my opinion if you have common sense this would be the best deal. Since Cartech has a disc in there like the vortech and bleeds off boost to adjust Fuel pressure when you are boosting. Well Vortech has discs for this FMU but you can always leave the disc in there and get the bleeder valve.

Glad you got it working Jaime. I knew that would take care of it.

I really don't like that brass off fitting. I mean...it does the job but my SS braided hose doesn't seem to clamp tight on it. I had a SARD 1/8" NPT fitting that I sold to Brett.

This is the one I sold to Brett. It's on the far left.

This is the one that I want. It's a JUN fitting. Number 2. 6AN direct off the fitting.

I am going to highly agree with you on this one. The stock FPR makes a 90 Degree angle and this one shoots out straight out. I went to see if I can get two barbed 90 fittings to connect the hoses. I ended up purchasing a high pressure hose thats bendable. But since you showed me this I may invest in that later which brings a up some good info. I can get a SS 6A line to thread up to the SFMU and to the fuel rail w/the first fitting. Theres not much space to play with. But he at least Thomas saved me since no one really shares some of this info. I may redo those stickies I have up top. Request permission to use this picture from you? is that the part number the blue fitting?

Feel free to use my pictures. As of the part number of the fittings, I'm not sure.

See on the 5th gens it aint that bad, because I basically put Thomas's brass fitting on there, then basically cut 3" piece of 6an stainless steel braided hose. And basically the SARD has a hose fitting on the side. So I clamped the hose down and the SARD basically sits there perfectly. I wouldve put a real fitting on SARD exit, but there was already a hose fitting on there and didnt feel like waiting for the parts to get here for the fittings.

Yes the fitting that 1MAX2NV is nice, but I think for a 5th gen its not bad with Thomas's brass adapter.
