Wind Noise from passenger side rear???

i've had this pretty bad wind noise from the back window on the passenger side for the past couple of days now... almost like the window is open a little bit (it's that bad)... and it started suddenly out of nowhere... i've read about lots of people who have had wind noise problems... is this what typically happens with u guys too? or is something wrong with my door/window??? i've opened the door and windows several times and closed it back up.... nothing is caught in there that i can see.. but when i drive at medium speed and up, the noise is pretty noticeable.... will the wind noise tsb help?

I have the EXACT same problem. Anything over 50 mph and it is irritating.

There's a sticky posted with lots of the TSB's and this one is in that list. I have my car in the shop today for right rear wind noise and some other stuff. The advisor said they keep repair kits on hand and it's no charge.

Mine does sometimes, it seem that its mainly the 02/03's. I know something isnt right because that window gets that foggy/misty stuff on it sometimes.

My Max has the same wind noise from the rear passenger side door. What I don't understand is why it didn't make this noise when I first bought the car. Suddenly, one day, the wind noise started. Anyway, I'm assuming the dealership can fix it.

Most of you guys have been on here long enough to have heard something about this issue. Check out the TSB's and quit being lazy and just take your car in and have the dealership fix it. I had the same issue, made an appointment with the dealer, and it's 100% fixed. Just do something about it already.

After looking over the TSB, I am going to just order 2 of part # 80339-2W100 from DaveB because.....

1. I can fix this myself.
2. I can't be without my car.
3. I don't trust dealers with my car.

At this point, when my MAF finally goes, I would rather pay $80 for a new one from DaveB then have to mess with taking it in. I will do anything to avoid dealer visits.

What is the part that needs replacing? Maybe I'll just do my own fix on that too, since the dealer is a pain to work with

Basically it is just additional "sealant" around the window. It is a type of foam tape you put behind the weatherstrip to make a tighter seal to the window glass.

See sweeper's post with the TSB link. All they do is add some foam in on the weatherstripping. The part number is 80339-2W100 and you should order two. My guess is that the entire transaction will cost around $5.

doesn't the TSB run out once you hit 3 years/36K miles?

I have a 2002 and it has really bad wind noise. I have taken it in three times to differant dealers and they can't seem to fix it. What ever the so called fix is does not work. I just learned to live with it. I just turn up the music and drowned it out. That is the only fix that works for me.

No the TSB did not work for me. I had it done three times at differant dealers. I think they just replace the rubber around the small window in the back.I think the wind noise must be coming from some other place, I gave up trying to fix that one.

THE TSB DOES NOT WORK. Taking it to the dealer is a waste of time. I did this three times I know.
