Underdrive pulley gains?
I have a 5-speed and it's great
Greg has this mod and an auto. He's a strong advocate for the pulley and so am I. I'm very happy with and have had no problems. I see about 15 more miles on my odometer when I fill up and the performance is great. The car revs faster and takes off quicker. It feels like what I would expect a lightened flywheel to exhibit. I paid $150 from emax plus $30 for the belts and seal.
it's just the crank pulley
however it is central to all the other pulleys. Don't worry about the other pulleys and accesories. My AC is still colder than I'd like it to be, my power steering is the same, I'm running a 600Watt RMS dual amp setup, and for some strange reason my shifter loosened up and feels like my Honda. I really like the results.
Shifter
Ever since I got my Maxima 5-speed, the shifter has been tall, notchy, and very inaccurate. After I put the pulley in, it throws into the gears easier. It feels a little bit more like my sister's 5-speed 90 Accord EX (which is temporarily mine). The honda's shifter feels like a so free, the shift gates are very well designed and the throws are nice and short.
