The grill is now white! Check out pics

I did it this afternoon, primed and painted my grill. Pictures are kinda crappy, it was disgusting outside here in NH. I'll get better pics up soon, but here are a couple. Lemme know what you guys think. I like it, so it'll stay, provided the paint doesnt chip too bad. I put a quick coat of wax on to add a lil protection

A comparison: vs.

i dont know if its the lighting or what, but does it match or did you not want it to?

IMO i would have gone with black or silver, not enough contrast with white. looks dull and plain on a white/lighter color car!

The lighting wasnt good at all, and my car is filthy, so the nice clean grill paint didnt quite match in the photo. Like I mentioned before, need to get some better pics when its a lil brighter out, and from further than 6 feet away. I think it looks pretty sharp with the grill white.

Here's one more - still crappy lighting and whatnot, but oh well.

lookin good, id definately like to see pics when the car is so fresh n so clean... also, a thought that came to my mind, dont know if it will be good or not, but how about another grill in that bottom area where the foglights go (dont know what you call it) that's also the same color, i think that'd be kinda slick...

I think it looks good but would have been better if you only painted the silver lines on the stock grille white like your photoshopped image of your plan.

Didnt even think of painting the lower grill... thats a good idea, I think it would finish off the front end of my car, kinda connect everything. Sounds very cool... I'm gonna photochop that real quick and see what I think

Here's my chopped pic. It would definatly look better in real life, no depth perception wtih the edited photo. But here goes:

Now, that's what I'm talking about, it looks tight, doing what you feel.

Man I'm just glad you decided to not let everyone else decide for you, keep up the great work.
Peace

That lower grill is gonna get painted today. I wish it would stop rainin out so I could get a decent picture of the car! My car isnt really white right now, its dirt grey/brown. Like I mentioned before, thats why the grill appears to not match. Lemme get everything nice and cleaned off then I'll take some more shots. Thanks for all the compliments too!

Looks pretty sweet from some angles. Unless you get the pearlized paint from nissan or mixed from a paint shop, it will never match exactly, so some angles will look a little off. But it really looks nice dude.

Be sure to clear coat it unless you want to touch it up every week. spray can paint will chip faster than the crappy nissan paint.

Cheers.

Ya I definatly need to get some clear coat - that's tomorrow's trip to walmart or home depot. Wax will do the trick for today, but it wont last thru all my winter drivin.

It looks like the grille is whiter than your car. I don't think it is the same color.

I like it alot! Would you mind doing somewhat of a write-up when you're done? The reason I ask is I have a glacier pearl 2003 that I was thinking about painting the grill white in the spring. I'd love to know what primer and paint you used, the steps you took, any tips you might have now that you've been through it, etc. Thanks!

2k3...did you read the whole thread? He's already said at least twice that the color looks off because of the lighting and the car being filthy. Besides, you already said the exact same thing about 5 posts up.
