I just used my fingernails to remove my pinstripes. After I finished taking it off, I waxed the areas to get the rest of the adhesive off. It took me about 30 minutes. Yours may take longer if they have been on for a long time.

They don't come from the factory with them. The dealer has them put on to jack up the price on the add ons sticker.

I haven't seen any painted on stripes in many years. I'm glad that mine were not painted on. I despise pinstripes. The dealer had them put on my car when it came in off the truck. I removed them the first night I had the car.

I had the same problem as you. They kept breaking but I kept peeling. It surely is a PITA though.

Yup, just got done. Clay bar helped getting all the residue off. Just finished hitting it with Meguiars #7 and Hi-Tech Carnuba.

Looks much better. I really didn't like the black with gold pinstripes look.

Use a hair drier to slightly soften the glue under the stripes and they come off all at once. Rubbing alcohol / goo-gone should take care of the glue residue, followed by a good coat of wax.

I pulled my pinstripe off with my fingernail and then followed up with Mequiars paint cleaner. Buff to shine and then apply Mequiars wax.

I used a hair dryer to heat it up a little then just peeled it off. I then used bug n tar remover to get the extra glue off, then I washed and waxed the car.
