Which Spark Plugs for Better MPG?

I've got a 1995 SE Auto and just finished changing the fuel filter. I've got the front 2 02 sensors waiting to be installed and I've decided to change my plugs next time the max goes in for surgery. So which plugs should I get if I'm just trying to improve my MPG? More HP would always be welcomed but I'd rather get better MPG over more HP. thanks

Stick with what originally came with the car, many people have had problems when using other brand spark plugs. They are NGK, the OEM part # is PFR5G-11. The OEM plugs are platinum tipped, some people use copper ones, a lot cheper but you will have to change them out at 30K intervals instead of 60K.

They are pretty much $11 anywhere you go. Online they are cheaper but then you wait and pay for shipping. Time for a trip to the dealer.

plugs

yeah the coppers you can get from strauss for $1.65 each ithink, i think the number was BKR5E-11, ive had them in for 2 weeks(changed from the platinum NGK's), no problems so far. You would want to stay away from non NGK brand plugs for your max, no need to look for problems.

I got my plats at O'Rielly Auto parts for like $9.85 apiece. Whatever you do, do not go to a dealer to buy them. In Austin, the dealer not 3 miles from O'Riellys wants like $16.50 for those same plugs. But stick with the NGK. I tried others and they only caused problems.

Also, if you want better mpg, have your injectors cleaned (not the in tank treatment stuff either), K&N air filter if you don't already have one, and synthetic oil. I did those things and several more things that may or may not have contributed, but my mpg went through the roof afterwards.
