My driver's side mirror on my 91 GXE was smashed up and is hanging on, but I decided to replace it. I've ordered a mirror from ebay and am wondering if anyone knows what the procedure for replacing the mirror would be. Is there a web source of step by step instructions? Thanks.

 

it's real easy and it shouldn't take more then 10 minutes.
1. take of the door panel
2. disconnect mirror wires (they are inside of the panel under the plastic cover; if your mirror is heated, there are two conector to disconnect)
3. take off a plastic cover (where the mirror is)
4. take of another plastic cover (same place)
5. unscrew 3 nuts and take out the mirror
6. repeat everything backwards for your new mirror

Yeah real easy job.
Had the same thing when I bought my max.
$20 and 40 minutes later I had a mirror
But not heated though

 

Done! Took a while as I needed to replace some of the bolts and add some washers, but I shoulda done it a long time ago. Big improvement! Thanks for the help.
