I have a 99 Maxima SE Limited 5 speed and I am wondering how it would match up against a 91 Acura Legend
4 Dr. My buddy used to have one and I drove it many times at speeds in excess of 125 mph. Unfortunately he sold it before I bought my Maxima. Personally I think the two are extremely close in performance. I am only sorry we never had the chance to race. I think the Max might take him out of the hole but the Legend seemed to have quite a pull after it hit 3rd gear at 70 mph. I have only had the chance to get the Max to 122 mph but it seemed to have plenty more to go except that it seemed to take a long time to get up to speed after about 100 mph. For reference the Legend had 200 hp and 210 ft/lbs. of torque in 1991. I would like to hear some opinions and maybe some actual race stories of some other maxima owners. I am new to the max website here and it is sweet. I have the red (crimson blaze) SE Limited. I have only seen about 4 of them in the 1.5 years I have had mine. The red kinda grew on me but I love it now. I look forward to reading the input. Peace !!

He would be watching your tailights

Sure the legend had 200hp but unless it had the five speed it was slow. The automatic did 0-60 in like 7.6-7.9. I have a friend with a 92 legend four door, weapon r intake and a flowmaster exhuast system I admit like you said at like third gear that baby pulls like crazy but I've beaten him many times with stock gxe max's they really are not that fast. If you want more info on the legend and it different models go to
http://www.legend.org

I saw your pics of your car. They look just the same. I love the red. I haven't gotten into the mods yet but I am gonna do it as soon as my tax check comes back. Probably gonna start with FSTB first. Yes the reds are rare. I am very glad I got it now. I don't have the leather seats though. Do you have any mods and if so please write back. I will try to get some pics of mine up on here. Although they look indentical to yours. Later.
