the dash looks really nice, except for a few scratches during the re-install(which I'll get with some touch up paint), I was really impressed and it looks really sweet at night! I also painted the grille black too and repainted the nissan letters in silver too, looks a lot better, and looks really good on the car!! I love "poor man's" modifications! gotta get pics of the whole thing including the painted speedo section and the grille actually on the car too-->

you wanna sand it really good first, then wash it in soap and water, and put down a good primer layer. then spray your color coat.....i always clear coat mine after the color coat, but its not a necessity.

You mean like this?

Just to let you know, the "NISSAN" emblem on the grille is removable. Dash looks good. I always wanted to know what it looked like on a 89-91 dash panel, I have upgraded to a 92-94 dash panel. I like it better, but make sure you use a clear coat on it. nice job.

The difference between 89-91 panels and 92-94 panels...

89-91 dash...The radio is set back about 3/4" giving it an "inset" look. also the Hazard button is by itself and the whole panel has the grooved texture. Also there is an opening for a light that shines over the radio.

92-94 dash...Everything is flush. The radio is flat with the panel and the Hazard button is in the same section as the climate controls. The panel is untextured except for the bar that separates the radio and the climate controls.

That is also why Im looking for the push tray under the radio from a 92-94. It seems to fit better with the new panel. Also, if you change the center dash panel, you need new stereo brackets as well, they are cut differently to push the radio out further.
