My friend is buying a 96 max gle and the only problem with it is that the bose stereo doesnt work. When it doesnt work, I'm talking about it not even turning on. Has anyone had this problem or know what it could be. He's not buying it from a dealership so the person he's buying it from doesnt really know **** about it. I told him I would ask you guys, since a lot of you seem to know a crap load about maximas. The only reason he's thinking of getting it is cause its a killer deal. Well anyone who can help would be appriciated.

It could be something simple like the connection to the head unit is loose. Although, most likely it is something internal..maybe an easy fix many not. You could get a new bose head unit or replace the whole bose system. I sold my bose head unit on ebay for $100..maybe you could find one on there if you want a replacement one.
