fuel rail/injector o ring leak- how much $
Anyone ever had their o rings on the fuel injectors replaced. I noticed the other day in this cold weather after letting the car warm up I could smell gas in the inside of the car and then opened the hood and could see the vapor coming off of each injector and the fuel rail was wet at each injector and also on the right hand side where the hose attaches to the rail. Its an 89 se auto with 192k miles and original trans. Im thinking maybe I should part with it before I sink any more money into it especially since I've been contimplating getting either a 4 runner or Xterra.
Anyone have experience with theirs leaking and how much did it cost or were you able to fix it? My only problem is I have no place to work on the car except the parking lot where it sits and its been like 0 degrees. Also I dont feel its safe to drive with that much fuel leaking. So I feel like its time to make a decision rather quickly.
Any advice welcomed,
Thanks in advance.

Had the same problem, If your mechnically inclinded enough to get to the injector rails and take the injector out it will only cost u $1.25 per injector or O-Ring If you have a Sears Hardware any where near you I know that they sell them for sure cuz thats where i got mine there in the kitchen section but u godda make sure that there gas proof wwhich these ones were just take the old one with u to match it up its gunna be alittle bit smaller cuz the old one has some stretch to it but its almost exact just bye 6 of those replace the rings put the injector back in put everything backtogether and ur all set, make sure that the rings dont get pinched and go in even all the way around. If sears dont have it im sure any local hardware store will.
cool thanks for the advice, did you have to get a new gasket for your intake manifold, or were you able to get them out without removing it?
I heard the injectors can be a real PITA to get out, like you have to use a bench vise.
Thanks again.

Ya ur gunna have to rip all the upper intake stuff of but its not that bad u may need new gaskets if u havnt replaced them ever i had new ones on already when i did it so they were still ok to use again, its kinda done bye I if the gasket rips and parts of it get stuck to each piece ur need to scrape it off and do it again
