i went under the car and looked. the new pipe was never put on. i didn't want to pay $60 for them to take the old one off and put the new one on, and it not fit. and then take the new one off and put the old one back on. they also pulled out the tape measure and measured where the o2 sensor would be if the wsp pipe was put on. that too had a clearance issue.

The Warpspeed Y pipe was one of the first mods I did and I had NO fitment problems at all.

i still don't quite get the "clearing the sway bar" thing. is it that the wsp pipe is too long or too tall to fit between the sway bar and the frame? It is easy to put on yourself, believe me. I single handedly removed it and I am not exactly bulky framed at that (I am 6'1 and weigh 145lbs, 5 of which were put on over christmas) I believe all you will need are 10 or 12mm sockets, a good breaker bar, ramps preferrably (or jackstands) and you're set. Oh and an open ended wrench (12 or 14mm i think) for the O2 sensor. By the O2 sensor being "cramped", what exactly did they mean?
If there is an orger close to you or in the Va area that has tools and is willing to lend a hand, you could most likely get it done in a couple of hours. You can also call up Dallas @ warpspeed and confirm that I DID get the pipe from them ....i can pm you my full details and address it was shipped to too, if you want. Or you can call them up and tell them what's happening. They will let you know what's up.
edit: and the pipe is from a 91se.
good to hear that you didn't have any cleanance issues but if you did the reason is that your motor mounts are shot and the engine has dropped a bit. It is definately a tight fit to get it through but once you do it fits like a glove. It took me a couple of hours on my back to do the whole setup from y-muffler.
You will probabally need a torch to loosten the rusted bolts on the cat and maybe on the manifolds.

I have a cattman y and there weren't any clearance issues, but some of the bolts were pretty tough to reach because of the difference in lengths on the pipes. Not impossible, but tough.
Since we don't use salt on the roads, mine came off easily (no corrosion or rust) so I can't help you on that one.
