04 Smoked Taillights??
04 Smoked Taillights??
Has anyone found out either 1) a way to smoke the stock taillamps or 2) a vendor that sells the smoked taillamps for the 04? I saw them on a Black 04 in a picture posted on this forum (I think) and it looked really sharp. I'm hoping someone knows where I might be able to get them.
Thanks!
Thanks!

Here's the smoked tails
Don't know where to get them though.
It was on display together with brand new nissan cars at the Los Angeles Auto Show, Jan 04. Street Concepts sticker in the windshield. Not only the black 2004 maxima lowered, the wheels are 20 inch rims (255X35x20 tires-front and 275X30x20 tires-rear), smoked tail light, smoked signal light, limo tint, and two rear spoilers.

I didn't want to use the spray on method, since I would think you'd have to be pretty good to get the lamps coated evenly if done freehand. I had also thought of the window-like film tinting, but didn't think it would hold up very well to the elements (rain, snow, road salt, etc) when applied to the outside of the light assembly.
I was hoping to either find the GTS covers, or a vendor that actually sold new smoked light covers that would be a bit more durable. If anyone finds them, please post. I may go and try the film just to see how it goes - might work better than I expect.
Thanks!
I agree...needs to lose the spoiler.
IMO...lose the smoked tails. Maybe of they were smoked around the tails, but not the actual tails. That defeats the purpose. YOu don't want to cover up the light, you want it bright so that people don't hit you. Maybe if it was just a lighter smoke color, it would be better. IMO

Getting rid of the factory spoiler would leave holes in the trunk lid from the bolts it mounts with. I guess he just left it on instead of paying to have it filled and repainted. Either that or he just needed that extra ricey goodness a double spoiler brings.
