Horrible gas milage....
Horrible gas milage....
Hey guys,
Lately I've been noticing my gas milage rate has been going downhill. Today, I added a bottle of fuel injector cleaner when filling up my gas tank. I checked the tires, and made sure they are filled accordingly.
What else can I do to imporve the Milage I get?
I have also been driving like a grandma lately, since the prices have been rising.
Thanks guys

first thing i'd check is the air filter. see if it's clogged/dirty. replace if necessary. also, go easy on that fuel injector stuff. those harsh chemicals not too friendly with your injectors.
check o2, maf, plugs, check under the car for leaks. is it a stick or auto, if its a stick, **** at a higher rpm, it saves the engine and the mileage. if its auto keep the button in power mode, it keeps the engine from having to downshift when you hit the gas, and saves you having to use a lead foot.
also, if your a lead foot, go easy. i think theres a couple more things you can do, i cant think right now, im high on paint fumes

doesn't matter if you keep the auto tranny in power mode etc, if you give it enough gas (also depends on how fast you press the gas) it'll downshift. it won't downshift if you slowly depress the gas pedal
